Now Updates - 12/29
Updated December 29th, 2024, from my childhood home in Westchester, New York
Third Wall Still Humming
The end of 2024 marks three full years of Third Wall and 12 straight (very) profitable quarters. While the state of content marketing is ~ interesting ~ to say the least, I'm constantly thinking of how to differentiate our offer and leverage AI to stay as lean as possible.
I plan to own this business forever, structuring it so that I spend as little time working in it as possible while generating as much cash flow as I can to fund other projects I'm more passionate about (and have higher upside.)
Tbh, there are few things that sound more unappealing to me than running a massive agency.
Building Kanso
Since May 2024, I've gone deeper into the digital wellness rabbit hole and am quite certain that this will be a billion-dollar industry (and unfortunately a massive public health crisis) in the next decade.
I'm in the early days of building a digital wellness empire of coaching, products, and content. The newsletter has grown to 1150+ subscribers, with a goal of hitting 5k subs by EOY 2025.
Enjoying the Knicks
This is the strongest Knicks team in my 23+ years of fandom and they are a joy to watch. I can't help but speculate...Is this the year?
A Month in Japan
I recently spent 28 days in Japan traveling to 8 different cities throughout the country. Truly an amazing experience of reflection, solitude, and exploration. So much culture. Will post more in-depth notes soon.
Training for Hyrox
If you know me well, you know I have a tough time putting on weight. I've always been rail-thin and have a crazy metabolism. This year I started taking the gym seriously and put on 15+ pounds of muscle (while keeping <8% body fat). All weights, zero cardio.
As a (washed up) high school athlete, I used to pride myself on my cardio. Now, I can't run a mile. Well, that's gonna have to change really quickly because I'll be doing a Hyrox race in Atlanta on April 26th. Still want add an additional 5-10 pounds of muscle this year too, so gonna need to eat a ton.
Building with AI
I've always wanted to learn how to code but never got around to it. Now with Cursor and Claude I can build almost anything I want with damn near zero coding knowledge.
For an idea guy like me, these tools are a god send. I'm having a ton of fun tinkering, and built my first AI web app, RoastMyScreenTime, in under 10 hours. It's basic, but I'm pretty proud of it.
Spanish Fluency
I started taking 2x/week Spanish lessons in August 2023. At time of writing, I'm level B2! My reading, writing, and speaking are getting solid, but I can't keep up with the listening. Y'all speak to fast. If you see me with headphones on, I'll probably be listening to Spanish podcasts on .5x speed lol.
Hope to get to C1 by EOY and spend a few months in a Spanish speaking country to accelerate my learning curve.
